Our founding partner Mr. Yusuf Gumus, graduated from İstanbul University Faculty of Law in 1997 and was admitted to the Istanbul Bar in 1998. After gaining litigation and advisory experience in the early years of his career, he worked at Levenes Solicitors in London, where in 2006, he completed his LL.M. in International Transport and Maritime Law at London Metropolitan University.
Following his period as legal counsel at ING Bank, he joined Yıldız Holding in 2010. Within the global structure comprising Ülker, Godiva, United Biscuits and pladis, he served as Legal Counsel, Legal Director and Global Regulatory Lead.
In 2021, he founded Yusuf Gümüş Law Firm, where he continues to provide legal representation and advisory services to corporate and individual clients, drawing on his extensive experience in private practice and in-house legal management.
In-house legal experience teaches that a legal opinion being legally correct is not enough; it must reach the decision maker in a timely and actionable manner.
